How often do you breast feed ur 5 week old?

Idk how often I should be feeding her besides when she cries for it, I had a lady tell me every hour but that seems like a lot? And sometimes baby cries because she doesn't want to eat when I went with trying to feed her every hour, idk what to do anymore n the consultant won't take me because I need an appointment so I need help with this,

On demand - could mean every 30 minutes to around every four hours. All normal. My son fed every two hours until after 12 months. If in doubt, boob! You can’t make a baby feed - if they don’t want it, they won’t cooperate.

I thought New born is every hour.. . monitor your babys weight to make sure she is fed enough. Dont risk it!  Babys can easily starve without you realizing it
