Prolonged periods?

I’ve been having irregular periods since I was 18 (23 now). Sometimes I have periods that only last two weeks, sometimes they last for a few months. I hardly ever go more than two weeks not being on my period as well.

I went for years not going to a doctor, and when I finally did she put me on the neuva ring. I only used it for one month, and when it was in I didn’t bleed at all! But two days after I took it out I had to be taken to the hospital because I had started bleeding profusely. (This is where is gets a little tmi) The lining of my uterus had built up from not being able to shed from the ring and decided to leave my body all at once 🙃

Not long after that I lost my health insurance and haven’t been back to the doctor since. I don’t expect anyone to diagnose me, but I was wondering if anyone has had anything similar? I can’t find anything online that really matches what I have. I have speculated fibroids but when I went to the hospital they said nothing about fibroids. I do have PCOS but I feel like my symptoms don’t match up with it as I get older.

Sorry if this is a lot but I don’t know what to do!
