How and when will you be telling family/friends about your new bundle? I’m so excited but I know I should wait at least a few weeks, if not more. My boyfriend wants to tell our families on Easter Sunday somehow.

We are telling our family at Easter as well. My parents already know though. We always do the kids Easter egg hunt followed by the adult beer and wine hunt (my dad hides mini wins and beers all over the yard). So we will also have adult eggs with a “bonus” inside one. So everyone will open their eggs at the same time after the hunt to see who won the bonus but inside will be the announcement and inside mine will be the ultrasound. I’ll be 8 weeks 6 days at Easter. I had a D&C; back in Oct for a blighted ovum so I would rather my family know now than wait!

I’ve already told my mom and best friend. But we are waiting to tell the rest of our family after the first ultrasound and will announce it publicly at 13 weeks.

Hollow out an egg with a baby medicine syringe and make sure to dry the inside, I used a blow dryer.  Then on a tiny piece of paper write something “could this be any more eggciting” I did this today for my sister and mine said “aunt’ you glad to know this eggo comes in November”
I should have taken a picture before she cracked it 😔 
Once the scroll is in the egg tape the bottom and paint it all one color and on Easter your family can smash the eggs!!!! 😜

oh man it is so hard for me to not tell anyone. especially since i live in the same house as my in laws. its weird walking by them knowing i have a huge secret right in front of them.

I’m 6 weeks now. I’m planning on waiting until Mother’s Day when I’m like 13 weeks. It’s going to be so hard. I’m the worst at secrets. And my husband is worse. It’s going to be rough.  My hospital won’t see me until 8 weeks and will schedule an ultrasound at that point. It’ll be incredibly hard to keep it a secret after that. But I’m determined. I told family at 9 weeks with my first and asked them not to tell. My mother in law literally told every single person she saw and posted to Facebook. So... I’m keeping my cake hole shut this go round.

We’re planning to announce to close family (parents, siblings, grandparents, and some aunts/uncles & cousins who are like siblings) on Easter too. We will only be 5w4d at that point and my US isn’t until 4/19. My obgyn and primary didn’t have me come in to confirm via blood work first either. I have taken 6 pregnancy tests over 6 days in a row and all were positive, plus I’m having symptoms. This is our first pregnancy and we’re so excited to share the news!

I'll be 9 weeks on easter and that's when we've decided to announce. With my first we announced after 12 weeks just due to issues we had early on in our pregnancy. This time we've known the baby is ok and has a heartbeat since 5w5d so we feel comfortable announcing but also feel after our last pregnancy, avoiding feeling excited and our NICU stay we really feel every life, no matter how short is worth celebrating (and pretending it's not joyful or avoiding feeling joy because things are difficult doesn't make the joy go away or the disappointment any less when things don't go as planned).

I’m 4 +1 and all I want is to ‘spill the beans’... I’ve had two full term pregnancies and one miscarriage at 8 weeks. I know we should wait until 12 weeks, but I HIGHLY doubt we can wait that long.
