So i have a history of large babies. My first two were normal 7lb 6oz and 8lb 4oz but that was to my ex. My husband is taller and bigger and he has a daughter who is 11 and she was 9lb 6oz born at 37 weeks. Our two babies together were 10lb 7oz (born at 41 weeks) and 9lb 12oz (born at 41 weeks) .. This baby is just 6lb 2oz at 35 weeks which indicates a normalish size baby ... except.... i have GD this time AND i found paperwork from when I was having my 9lb 12oz baby and at 36 weeks she weighed 6lb 6oz which to me indicates this baby will be atleast 9lb too. I know scans arent always accurate, but i cant stop worrying its giving me nightmares and everything. My delivery with my last baby was smooth, despite her size but the almost 11 pound baby got stuck and it was HORRIBLE and traumatic. I will never get over it.. its really affected me. I will be induced between 39 and 40 weeks due to GD unless the DR thinks its better to induce at 38 weeks. Its not a case of being impatient i am just so scared of having another difficult delivery but im thinking of begging the dr for a 38 week induction. Has anyone been through similar or have any advice? Please no judging because until youve been in my position you have no idea how scary it is when youe baby almost dies because theyre too damn big to come out properly. I keep having flash backs 😣
