My 38 + 3 day check up with my OBGYN was on Wednesday March 21st

My 38 + 3 day check up with my OBGYN was on Wednesday March 21st. I had called off work that day due to very strong contractions the following night, I could tell the time for us to meet our newborn was quickly approaching. We went into our check up that day to find out what progress I had made since being 2 1/2 cm dialated at my check up the following week. When the dr had asked to check me, I had told him about the strong contractions I had had the previous night and that I called off work.. also informing him that I felt as if I were "leaking". The doctor checked me and saw that indeed my membranes were ruptured! Also said from looking at me that he would say I was almost 5cm dialated! He shook my hand and said "congrats mama, you are having a baby today! Grab your things and head to the hospital and I will call to inform them that you are on your way!" My husband and I were absolutely thrilled that after waiting all this time, we were heading you the hospital to meet our bundle of joy💙 After a long painful 12 hours of labor, we got to welcome our 1st newborn son into the world on Thursday March 22nd @ 6:46am. 7 lbs 14 oz & 21 inches long..our little Mr Maliki Mikeal Perry! And oh was it all worth it, how you could love someone so much!! Our precious baby boy👶 Thank you Glow community for all the day to day tips and posts!! It made everyday more exciting!
