Which one did you/will you do?

Just curious! I am starting my son on purée foods, only because I want to make them myself and it will be fun. Bur I know food before one is just for fun anyway haha

We started with purees.  I made them all myself. after about a month he was totally over that and only wanted stuff he could feed himself so we switched to baby led weaning.

Both?  Bahahahaha.  Purees were easier for larger meals, but he would take bites if my food too.

We did purees for a few days & he wasn't into it but loved little bits of our food, so blw it was!

I do purees for about a month, starting at 6 months for them to learn how to swallow well (no cereal), then do blw gradually.

I spent a couple days making homemade puréed food for my daughter right when she was given the okay to start solids. She refused to eat the puréed food, but would grab at food on our plates. So I asked some moms I knew and they swore by Baby Lead Weaning. So after three days of puréed food, we started giving her little tiny bits of our food. I think it helped shape her into being a good eater. She will eat anything, even at 4 years old. We’re pregnant with baby #2 and I’ve already decided we will just try BLW from the start. Honestly, it’s so much easier!

We started with baby led weaning at 6 months because it’s much more beneficial for them developmentally. For the most part, our daughter eats whatever we’re eating.
