Do you think this is true? This is my current situation right now with my ex husband and I. Been divorced over a year and haven’t been able to leave each other alone! I’ve had a boyfriend since the divorce and the amount of anger he showed over it was incredible, he’s had 2 girlfriends and it honestly didn’t really bother me. Was only concerned about them being around my kids. 😂😂

Oh god no. strongly disagree. on again and off again relationships aren't the healthiest and it's usually because there's the comfort of familiarity. new can be scary. new can mean putting yourself on the line. there's a lot of reasons why it's easier to just resort back to the familiar, but that doesn't mean you're supposed to be together or that you're good for each other

I was in an on and off again relationship once upon a time, we couldnt stay away from each other because we were emotionally dependent on each other and addicted to the drama of each other, not because we were good or right  for each other.

You got a divorce for a reason. Clearly there was something that was lining up correctly and caused you both to end things. So.... no, it's just a meme. Not something to go base your life on.

No. It’s not that black and white. Maybe for some people it’s true, but not for everyone. And there’s a good chance a relationship like that also isn’t a healthy one.

Kids would prefer to come from a broken home, than live in one. Use a parenting communication app, leave each other alone and someone needs to grow up. Your kids don’t deserve to deal with drama. Try parallel parenting, until you both are prepared to coparent. 😒

No. That just sounds toxic. Toxic relationships know they should break up but can’t stay away, because they are just as bad as each other.

If u need to break up to get back together I would call that a toxic relationship. For me that would be forcing a relationship to work in unhealthy ways. It’s fine to be friends after a divorce but like my dad always says “let your no mean no, not yes, not maybe”
Forgive the person for whatever lead up to the breakup but getting back together can potentially cause more damage than the actual break up
I guess it just comes down to why you broke up in the first place
