My birth story

On March 4th around 3pm I started having some contractions but I knew it wasn’t time yet so my fiancé and I just relaxed and slept like normal that evening. Well, I woke up at 7am with pretty decent contractions and I knew I didn’t have much time left so I asked my fiancé if we could go get breakfast. We got Panera and Starbucks and by that time it was 830 and I was ready to go into the hospital! I couldn’t get ahold of Dr. B (who was busy delivering a bunch of other babies) so I called Labor & Delivery and we got to the hospital around 9am! By 10-10:30 we were done with check in. I was already at 6 1/2 cm dilated and had a “bulging bag”. After getting checked and monitored I was ready to try to get into the tub to relax even though all 4s is what helped me through the contractions a little bit! After a little in the tub I started feeling the urge to push and was made to get out of the tub! Next check I was at 9 1/2 cm!! All that needed to happen for me to start pushing was for me water to break and for Dr. B to be in the room! She got in, broke me water and it was go time! After just about an hour of pushing, my daughter was here at 12:08 pm! I got everything I wanted with my delivery! I’m so happy I didn’t have to get induced which was planned for the 6th! Weighing in at 7lbs 10oz and 20.5” long we had our beautiful healthy baby girl!
