ok so one day at school i had this substitute that dislikes me (she’s white) and i had brought the non alcoholic version on sangria to school that you can buy at the dollar store, so my substitute asked me what i was drinking and i said soda and she walked over and smelled my drink and said “oh i do not think so” and then she sent me to the office and i told my dad what happened and he said that was culturally inappropriate and rude just because i was born in guatemala and brought a spanish soda that im obviously doing something wrong. it is just irritating how we get judged on the little things we do because of our background.
