Acne and Unprotected Sex ?

I've started birth control today and along with other antibiotics , both given specifically for my acne. Can I still trust the BC when it comes to unprotected sex ? Or should I still be careful? The doctor says that the antibiotics make the pill less effective but not ineffective

Antibiotics that aren't enzyme inducers have a negligible affect on oral contraceptives UNLESS they cause vomiting or diarrhea. 
It's the reliability of the user that makes the largest difference. If you can't take the pill as directed, use a back up method of contraception (which is technically what you should do anyway if you aren't a perfect user and are serious about preventing pregnancy).
