Is this CBT?
So i went to see a counselor for my anxiety & i only went twice because i thought it wasn't helping. I paid $75 so every week so it was kinda pricy for me & to think it wasn't working. The 2nd & last time we saw each other she gave me a sheet telling me to write every negative thought i had & turn it into something positive, i thought it was silly & wasn't what i needed to help me. Now looking back I'm wondering if this is CBT treatment since I know I need the most help with my thoughts. I just never gone to counseling & she didn't explain to me either how was this supposed to help or that it was part of the treatment. So I'm wondering if this is something that is necessary for me to get help than I should go back to see the counselor , or to get a book on CBT.
