anovulation cycle ?

Has anyone ever heard of an anvoulation cycle? I went to the doctors this past monday and was told that all the symmtoms that I was getting was because of a anovulation cycle which is a menstrual cyclecharacterized by varying degrees of menstrual intervals and the absence of ovulation and a luteal phase. In the absence of ovulation, there will be infertility. Basically meaning that there was no egg released, which is why I had no period this month, and which means it would have been impossible to get pregnant. my question is... has anyone gone through this and was able to get pregnant after?? I'm so scared and don't know what to expect being that I've never been in this kind of situation before. Thanks in advance!
