Looks like an infection. Also putting a tampon in without an actual period flow isn't recommended and can cause issues.

I am going to my gyno tomorrow! I’ll let everyone know what she says.
I was STD tested in January and have only been with one person since. It’s my boyfriend and we have already discussed STDs and such, and both said we were clean.
I’m hoping it is just an infection because I was using the NuvaRing and am changing to an IUD.

that's seems to be  trichomoniasis infection

It could depend on where your urethra (pee hole) is.  If it is inside the vagina instead of being between the clitoris and the opening of the vagina, (this is called a Hypospadious).  Women that have that and use tampons will have the yellow tampon upon pulling it out due to urine being caught by the tampon; I know because I have this issue.
