Diastasis Recti?

So I’m 31 weeks along and I noticed this football or oval shaped ball that pops up above my belly button when I do certain things that require abdominal muscles. I felt around and I felt what feels like a decent sized space in between my muscles (like 2 fingers) and I have a ton of discomfort. Unsure what to think of this. Anyone have any insight or advice?

Pretty much all moms get diastasis recti at a certain point in pregnancy. I’ve been told to avoid abdominal exercises and roll to the side to get up. After baby a pelvic floor physio can help you with exercises that help get the muscles back together. I’ve also heard that belly wrapping for the first 8 weeks can help.
