My best friend a year ago asked me to be her maid of honor for her destination wedding & I happily accepted. We live in two different countries and I put on a bachelorette party for her as well as flying twice (for Bach, and destination wedding- once across an ocean) I’m taking a week off work and the last time we talked she was upset because I have to leave the Bach party one day early for work and I have to leave the wedding on day after - they expect everyone to spend 4 days before their wedding and 1 full day and night after). Am I crazy or should I stand up to her and let her know that I feel like she is being selfish? She can’t even be bothered to remember my birthday because she is so busy? Who isn’t busy? I still take the time to remember important milestones for people who are close to me. It was my 30th birthday and if I’m the maid of honor we should be closer than this.
