Should I tell him?

So me and my boyfriend have been together for around 8 months, and I am very open with him except for this one thing. 
I am a young, very very small business owner. It is an extremely nerdy business that has to do with computer games, and only one of my closest friends knows about it. For this business I use kik, skype, and paypal, and I don’t want him to think I am cheating over skype or kik. He’s seen the apps on my phone, asked why I still used it in a joking matter. I lied and said its old and I never deleted it. Should I tell him myself or wait till he really asks?
Edits: The reason why I am hesitant to tell him is because it ended my last relationship and this guy means a lot to me.

This is clearly something that you enjoy and that’s important to you. If he can’t accept that, he’s not for you. That may hurt, but it’s the truth. You should be with someone who accepts you for who you are. My husband loves cars. I’m not really into cars, and I don’t always understand what he’s taking about, but he loves it and that’s what matters. I support him. I listen to him. I even go to events with him. It’s something he loves, and I love him. I accept that about him. That’s what love and being together is about. Tell him the truth. Relationships, especially important ones, don’t have room for secrets. If he really cares for you, it won’t be something to worry about.

I think you should tell him, because you literally just lied to him. Don't be embarrassed about what you do. Be proud. You are starting a business and being independent that's nothing shameful even if it is "nerdy". If you haven't noticed the "nerdy" stuff is really in right now. (At least for where I live in CA, USA). You should be upfront and honest with him. You guys should be able to TRUST each other and those little lies can easily break that trust. I am a person who is very open and if you lie to me once, no matter how big or small, I won't trust your word ever again and I would be suspicious. I would hate for that to happen between you and your guy just because of a little embarrassment. Good luck to you.
