How to take vitex through my cycle?

I want to try boosting my fertility by taking vitex. I have low progesterone so hopefully it can help me. But when do I have to take vitex? Everyday or just before ovulation?

Answer

Start taking it whenever you want. Start with 800mg/day (400mg...2x/day) for 12 weeks, then lower the dose to half for another 12 weeks, then see how if helps. It’s more for regulating the cycle than for progesterone replacement...you’d be better off just taking a progesterone supplement. The amount in vitex isn’t enough to make a difference.
