My Sister in law just had her first baby (first in the family). i am 14 weeks but have wantee to wait as long as possible to share so they have their time. What is a respectful amount of time to wait to tell everyone? right now no one knows at all.

I’m kind of in the same boat. My SIL just announced she’s pregnant on st Patrick’s day and I found out I am expecting the next morning. We are waiting till our first ultrasound 8-9weeks before we tell anyone. So our babies will only be 8 weeks apart! She’s due the first week of October and I’m the last week in November. It’s both our first pregnancy. When I found out I had a moment where I thought she would b mad and think I’m stealing her thunder but I remember we had been trying for 2 years and can’t worry about how she feels. Your family will love to celebrate both additions so tell them when your ready.

life of a baby should be good news, not trampled with jealousy. if they had there's, do it now! it's not like yours is coming any time soon, so there's will have plenty of time to be showered with love and affection! it'll be warm up before yours arrive, by then it'll be doubling the love 😃 #sharethelove

Just tell them whenever you want to. Honestly if they aren’t petty people like that they won’t even think of it as you ‘taking their shine’. I was about 9 weeks pregnant when my sister in law just had her baby and I told everyone right away. I was way too excited to hold it in as I had had a scan and saw it for the first time. No one said anything and tbh no one can.. the baby isn’t going anywhere. He/she is apart of the family too and I’m sure everyone will be excited x

I found out I was pregnant and let everyone know... the next day my friend decided to let everyone know she was pregnant and actually further along then me.. I didn’t take much offense to it but other people apparently did.. they’d message me asking how mad I was at her for stealing my moment and telling me she did it on purpose she’s a bitch for doing that and I was just like wooaah baby news is happy news lol she got quite a bit of shame for it tho.. I’m just happy me and her baby will be some cool ass friends when they get older ahhaha

when I found out i was pregnant two weeks later 1 of my sister in laws found out she was pregnant then when I was 16 weeks the other sister in law did as Well, but yet my mother in law and father in law didn't treat anyone of us any different yet there kids were both pregnant the same time as me. if anyone thinks your trying to steal the limelight then let them think that , it's not your fault you happened to fall pregnant , you shouldn't have to withhold news like that because of somebody else's feelings . I'm sure they wouldnt think twice if it was the opposite way round x

I think you should tell whenever you want to and are ready! I’m going through a similar time. I’m close to 15 weeks now and my sister in law is 17 weeks. We found out on NYE she was newly pregnant and we had already conceived, but didn’t know yet.  I didn’t tell for a long time because of her and now I’m just enjoying the drama free life! If I felt ready, I’d tell, but honestly I’m just relaxing through it. I’ll probably tell soon. You’re baby is special, wonderful, loved, and all the good things in life!
