Do you guys use booster seats for your kids?

I’m about to purchase a convertible car seat for my baby but wasn’t sure if I should get one where they have a booster seat when they are older. Do y’all use yours for your kids or did spending a bit more money for it was a waste?

Honestly I wouldn’t buy a convertible car seat just because it has a booster. You won’t need the booster seat until several years down the road and they’re very cheap on their own. Buy whichever convertible car seat you like the most, and preferably one that has a very high weight capacity, then worry about a booster seat later down the road. By that time your child may want something new and cleaner anyway.

Okay, this is the one that everyone I know says is the best. It does have a booster seat, but like they’ve said below you may need a new one anyway lol. The best thing about this one is that it’s very adjustable and easy to see what you’re doing. I’m pretty sure you can get a newborn insert with it too, so you won’t even need a newborn seat if you don’t have one yet,

Legally you’ll need a booster seat once your child outgrows their harness (around age 5-6) until they’re big enough for the seatbelt alone (minimum age 8, usually closer to 10-11).

My daughter started using her booster seat when she was 5 and she’s 6 now and still uses.
