Bad pain a couple weeks after insertion

Hey guys,

So to all you out there who have the copper Paraguard IUD, or anyone who has others and have similar experiences, please help me out. So I got my IUD about two weeks ago and the insertion was fine. They had to use tentacular clamps on me, which sucked, but when it was over it was over. I had mild cramp-like symptoms all day but they were gone soon. Everything went normally.

But now, two weeks later, I'm having really bad cramp-like symptoms periodically throughout the day without warning. Even before I had an IUD, my period cramps were no where near this bad.

Not a lot of weird discharge or anything else.

I just wanted to ask you guys and see if this is normal or if I should get in contact with my doctor. I'm in college so I would only be able to call her, and I was going to do that anyway.
