So at 2 months old my little boy was diagnosed with congenital cataracts in both eyes. He had surgery by the end of the week and was fitted with contact lenses a week later. We were prepared for the worst and letters were sent to the Commission for the Blind to start meeting with a vision therapist.

Soon after surgery We started seeing him meet developmental milestones.

Today I had a meeting with his teacher at daycare for his “almost” 2 years old evaluation. She told me that there is no difference between my son and the other children in her class. He is meeting and exceeding developmentally and she would never know that he had eye surgery and wears contacts!

I am so proud of this amazing little boy and he amazes me everyday! We went from preparing for the worst to having one of the best possible outcomes!
