Anyone know anything about a testosterone priming ivf protocol?

After my first ivf cycle was cancelled due to a low response and a cyst, my dr wants to do a testosterone priming protocol next time. I am 34 and have DOR and am worried about another low response cycle. Does anyone know anything about this protocol?

Yep.  I have high AMH but quality and maturity issues.  We are doing about 3.5 weeks of BCP with testosterone gel and patches.  Then HGH during stims.  All to address maturity and quality issues since I have no problem getting enough eggs.  About to start testosterone on Sat do will see if this does the trick for us.

Never heard of it.  Estrogen priming protocols are pretty common for DOR though.   Read the blog 'agate's guide to learning from your failed ivf cycle' for more info on treatment options for DOR.

Yes. I do this. My first 2 ivf cycles were complete failures with no eggs retrieved. Then I switched clinics and the doctor had me apply testosterone cream for 3 weeks prior to IVF cycle. I can only say that (so far) I’ve had mature eggs retrieved every time since. Just no BFP yet. 😔 I noticed no major side effects, perhaps more stubborn and irritable! I was definitely more energetic and focused - great for work!
