starting birth control?

I need some opinions, i might be going on birth control,  to control my pain with cramps and also a back up plan with a condom. I wanna know what's best?  is the Implant better then the pills or what?.

implant protected me for four years and I didn't use condoms. there was no need since we were monogamous.. it's 99% effective and very very very very rare instances of pregnancy.. no periods at all the entire four years and ovulating returned when I had it removed.. it's the most reliable method next to sterilization (tubes cut and burnt)

personally i recommend pills because if you decide they are not for you, you can stop just like that whenever you want. it’s also easier to switch and look around for new pills if the one you’re on isn’t your favorite.

Pills worked for me and I liked them, but with this mom brain there's no way I'd remember to take them.
Depo sucked balls. I had excessive weight gain, headaches and migraines that were debilitating, cramps that were worse than my labor, and more.
Those are the only birth controls I have experience with, but I can tell you that the ring, patch, and implant are a hard no for me. The ring and patch make me too nervous for a multitude of reasons. The implant makes me nervous because it uses the same hormone as depo does and everyone I know has gained weight. I'm seeing if I can get the IUD on the 10th of April. Minimal side effect risks and I don't have to remember to take it/put it in, nothing.
