18 months to conceive after mc?!??

Question

do I had a visit with my doctor today so try and figure out what possibly caused me to have a mc. she said I went into preterm labor and doesn't think it's my cervix at this point. may have been an infection. she told me I should wait 18 months to conceive. WTF?!?!? has anyone ever done this? did u get pregnant right away and mc and did u wait and go full term? I wanna know because I'm def trying right now!

Mine told me to try right away said its not recommended cause it outs dating off but it was up to us what to do so we tried...granted a year and still nothing 
My friend however mc tried and fell pregnant right away but that again resulted in mc. I would say its personal preference on it all do what is right for you two months is perfectly acceptable waiting time in my eyes

Why did the doctor tell you take try after 18months???? That’s like forever! I’ve heard you’re most fertile after a mc and many people don’t take long to conceive again. But am confused why your doc told you to wait that long.. normally they say you can start trying after everything clears out (bleeding)
