Empty sac 7 weeks 4 days 😢

Had a early “reassurance” scan last week where according to my LMP I should be 7 weeks and 4 days. I was told that I was only measuring at 5 weeks, yolk sac present but no fetal pole and that I should go home and prepare for miscarriage. Absolutely devastated by this news. Has this ever happened to anyone else and everything has turned out fine? Have another scan in 2 weeks but no hopeful about it as the woman was so certain that it’s going to be bad news. I still have all pregnancy symptoms, strong positive line on pregnancy test and absolutely no bleeding throughout pregnancy.
