I had such a wonderful birth. My husband has cancer and has a lot of pain so a friend came and helped us.

Elizabeth was four weeks early and came after breaking her waters. They held off for a couple of days to allow her lungs to develop. Assisted with a couple of steroid injections.

She was small and spent the first two nights in the special care nursery. Elizabeth was also confirmed to have trisomy 21. Her heart is perfect, so I am thankful.

We are home now. She is breast feeding well and packing on the weight. She sleeps a lot and hardly cries. So I have to watch her carefully. She is precious. Her grandparents fly in today to meet her.

We love our little girl. She is a treasure.
