Always something
Sorry a little long but I need to vent.....
I have low AMH and after several failed IVF rounds we have been told that we will need to use donor eggs. It took some time for me to even consider it but we got there. I live in Dubai so donor eggs are not an option here so we started to look in Europe. After a lot of research we decided on a clinic in Spain, had a phone consult, filled out all the paperwork and signed the consent forms.
I went in for a routine Pap smear to ensure that all was ok- after all the meds and procedures I was worried there would be something. And of course.... there was a fibroid!
I went in on Tuesday to have it removed. I went to sleep knowing they would start with a hysteroscopy and move into a laparoscopy if they had trouble getting the whole thing. I woke up half dazed asking what they did and no one would answer! My husband finally came in to say they were not able to remove it! What!?
Once I was put under they couldn’t get the cauterising machine to work. They current wasn’t steady and they were afraid they would electrocute me. So after 4 hours they woke me up after doing only an investigation- I know know that we only need the hysteroscopy.
Once I got home I realised that when they were messing with the machine they managed to burn my leg. I have a perfect circle 2nd degree burn. On top of that I was having difficulty breathing so I went back in to found out that I water in my right lung.
All that to say - I’m so disappointed and frustrated. It’s never easy!
