I have heard a lot of people telling me I shouldn't date nor see anyone who's 3+ years older than me but I hate boys my age. I have always been labeled as matured ever since and I rarely get along with people my age because we sometimes think differently.

Would it be weird if I tell my parents/family about him? Did anyone have the same situation and can you tell me the story?
