Starting birth control HELP.

Okay so I’m 20 and I’m thinking of starting on birth control, I RARELY get my period , I get it if anything 1-2 times a year. (I’m verrryyy irregular and I’m a virgin) I’ve already went to my dr and told him about this and checked me and said everything is good but now I’m ready to be sexually active and I want to get on birth control to be safe (because of my lack of period I feel like I’m immune to pregnancy lol😂jk but I still want BC to regulate and help me not get pregnant) what birth control do y’all recommend??? I’m new to this and I have no one else in my life to guide me since my friends don’t use BC and my mom has never used contraceptives .
