For all the ladies and men out there; if you’re married (men or women), is it okay for you to go out with your friends and not come home to your partner until after 2:30am in the morning?

My husband left to hang out with his brother and my sisters fiancé at 10pm and he still hasn’t came home. He hasn’t text me or even checked up on me which is fine. I told him I was going downtown once I’m done cleaning the house and he would NOT allow me to, claiming for safety reasons so out of respect for him and for his comfort I stayed home and cleaned then went out to the movies alone and got home to an empty house....not sure if that is normal...is it?

A mans perspective would be much appreciated too.
