Hello all. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 2 years ago. I managed to drop my A1C from 7.5 to 6.0 and lost over 100lbs. I'm on metformin xr 500 twice a day. I'm 7 weeks pregnant and at my last appointment I was told I'd probably need to go on insulin once a day as my numbers are elevated due to the pregnancy. I've worked hard to stay off insulin so I'm terrified. Has anyone gone through this too and if so were you able to go back to pills after baby was born?
