Gallbladder surgery

Hey guys,

Ever since the 13th week of my pregnancy, I have been having almost weekly gallbladder attacks.

After being diagnosed with gallstones, my OB referred me to a surgeon who I met with on Friday, and he decided that I need to have surgery on Wednesday to have my gallbladder removed.

Since Friday, I have been reading horror story after horror story of people suffering with constant pain and diarrhea after having their gallbladder removed and I have been FREAKING THE FUCK OUT, and I broke down in tears to my husband today because I am so scared of the surgery and long term effects.

Can anybody offer me words of encouragement? Is there anyone here that has gone through this surgery? My nerves are so shot at this point and I'm considering cancelling the surgery.
