How is your relationship/marriage since having a baby?

Everything between us was great at first, he proposed when my son was about 5 weeks in October that just passed. This Valentine’s Day we went out for dinner & had a great time & when we came back we were watching tv & relaxing & all of a sudden he blurted out he didn’t wanna get married. Then the next day it turned into he didn’t know if he wanted to be with me. So I told him to leave. & he left for about a month. We did get back together, & we are going strong & communicating better.
 It’s hard to balance a relationship & baby at first. I threw myself into being a mother & trying to do the best I can, as well as I was very very sick after having him ( I have ulcerative colitis that flared in my pregnancy but went undiagnosed until 2 months after I had him & ended up in the hospital 4 times in a month) & suffering PPD. Then he was working hard & extra hours & trying to be the best father possible, we just lost track of each other. 
We needed to learn to be a couple again. So the time apart actually did us some good to figure out what we needed from each other.  I also know a lot of other couples find the same thin happen. 
It is difficult bringing a baby home but it is one of the most amazing things one can experience & I wouldn’t change having my son for anything.

Right after having baby#1, we were def at each other’s throats. You’re  so tired and stressed. Plus my husband just had a huge work change. Eventually though, we found our groove and it made us stronger!

Its fine. We have our moments but i would say it’s still a healthy relationship and we are both happy.

I too worry about how our relationship will be affected when we have a baby. I am happily married now and hope we find the balance. Obviously things take time to adjust as its new to both partners. The best and strongest relationships will overcome the stumbles and falls im sure. You hear stories how couples with children are more unhappy than childless couples but i suppose you each have to be aware that things will change and be different and be willing to fine the balance and work together.

Not together.He wasn’t ready to have that kind of responsibility and not ready to be a father.He didn’t want to do anything with me or the baby.So l am all alone.

Not gonna lie. Having a baby turned my life upside down. Going back to work with a baby made it even worse. Pretty sure I had PPD that o just pushed aside. My daughter has never slept through the night, which kills me. So I’m irritated, tired, and have little patience or time for my husband. When he talks about baby #2 I want to die (not literally), but I don’t see how he doesn’t see that this baby has taken a huge toll on us.
