Any tips on how to help a 1 year old nap in day care ?

16 month old skips naps . He is used to nursing to sleep then sleep in very dark room with white noise .

He only goes part time and gets picked up right after nap time but I really want him to nap with the other kids and learn a little more flexibility when it comes to nap

Any suggestions are sooo appreciated .. he has been waking up at 5am everyday from what I think is being over tired
