How did you announce your pregnancy to your parents?

How did you announce your pregnancy to your parents? My baby will be my parents first grandchild and my in laws 4th grandchild. I want the announcement to be special. My husband and I decided to wait until the first ultrasound to tell our parents. Any ideas on how we should tell them? I was thinking maybe a poem or something?

With my son I called and asked what my mom and dad thought of the name grandma/grandpa. My husband just held up one of his sister's dolls and said this in real life come October. With this pregnancy we made a sign with our son that says daddy & mommy say I'm going to be a big brother in October.

My mom had recently gotten a kitten, so I gave her a "just because" gift and said it was for a new cat-mom, so she didn't suspect anything. It was a Pandora charm that said Grandmother. At first she thought I was being silly, but then she was like, grandmother?! as it sunk in. It was really sweet. Unfortunately I miscarried the next week. A poem is a nice thought, too. There are some really sweet ones I came across while trying to decide how to tell.
