What do you actually need to pack for the hospital???

Please comment on what you took , what was necessary and what was not , I’m so nervous and Im all over the place don’t even know where to start 😬😁😬

For myself: 
robe, slipper shoes, change of clothes to go home in (yoga pants and shirt), nursing bras, socks, adult diapers, under wear to go over adult diaper, chapstick, makeup wipes, shampoo and conditioners if you shower there, soft headbands to hold your hair back(these were the best!), nipple cream if you are breastfeeding and the gel pads (your boobs will hurt really bad), snacks, cell phone charger, baby book for foot print
for baby:
going home outfit, onesies and bottoms, hat, mittens, bring newborn and 0-3mo size, some babies don't fit in newborn if you are expecting a big baby, if you are expecting a small baby bring smaller sizes, you really don't need anything else other than clothing as the hospital gives you diapers and wipes. 
bring an extra bag to take all the baby and mom goodies.
when you get home make sure you have stool softeners to take, numbing spray for the  bathroom, squirt bottle to wash off after using the restroom, and make padsicles :)

I had a planned c section in May and this is what worked for me
Hands-free pumping bra! I used the hospital pump to start milk flow and the bra was a lifesaver! We also really liked the hospital pump and ended up renting it to take home. Comfy pajama shorts and T-shirts to sleep in/wear (I didn’t wear much else), nipple cream, going home outfit for me (maternity yoga pants and T-shirt, pants and shirt for baby), cute swaddle blankets (optional) for in-house hospital photos/to coverup with while breastfeeding, nursing pillow, pillows and sleeping clothes for Dad, flip flops/slippers, contact lenses, glasses, toiletries, soft big towel for you and Dad (optional), extra bag for hospital goodies, portable blue tooth speaker to listen to soothing music in my room (LOVED having this, it created such a calm environment for us and baby) , essential oil infuser (optional), extra long phone charging cord, big comfy soft post partum undies, and a robe. I used hospital-provided socks, pads, mesh undies, swaddle blankets and it was fine for me. 
Thank goodness I did not lug my pump there. Theirs is much better. 
I didn’t use makeup, nipple pads, swimsuit (I was having a c section so this was a ridiculous item to have brought), expensive pajamas. 
Also, I wanted the room to be freezing because I was so hot so warn your significant other to bring a sweatshirt, big comfy robe, and pants and socks to sleep in.

I have suggestions of what not to pack that you might think you need to. In reality your milk won’t be coming in for a few days so you won’t need nursing pads for the inside of your bra. Tbh I didn’t even wear a bra majority of the time while I was at the hospital. You won’t need to worry about bringing any pads for yourself or diapers for your baby because the hospital will provide you with plenty. When I was pregnant some people suggested bringing my breast pump but there was no point because I even tried using one of the rentals at the hospital and nothing would come out of my breasts when I tried pumping. Oh but I can say one of the most important things to bring is a boppy nursing pillow or a nursing pillow in general. I was exhausted and super sore and wouldn’t have been able to hold my son much if I hadn’t brought it with me😊

Everything they said, plus snacks that you like.  The hospital probably has some you can have,  but it may might be what you like and the hunger can be intense! I took a bunch of snacks, mostly protein and granola bars and almost all of them.  
I also underestimated how many pairs of adult diapers I would need and kept having to send my husband home for more, you'll probably want/need a new pair everyone you use the restroom.
Side note: we checked in at 10 PM on Wednesday and weren't discharged until Saturday at 6 PM, which was a lot longer than we expected to be there.  Luckily we lived nearby so it was easy to send hubby home for stuff.  
Oh! If you plan to shower, I suggest bringing flip flops as shower shoes.  You also want shoes that are easy to slide on and off for getting in as and out of bed.
