Help! Period on Birth control pill

I began my birth control journey the first day of my period (March 25th) and now it is April 4th and I still have my period! It has been 11, almost 12 days and it just won’t stop! I’m going to Japan to see my boyfriend at the end of the month (April 22nd) and I’m afraid I will still have my period then. Any advice/tips??
