Our Limb Different Story

Amanda

My first pregnancy was a miscarriage, in November 2015. Happily yet anxiously, February of 2017, we found out I was pregnant again. We had ultrasounds scheduled every week until 2nd trimester. Then, the first confident day that I go into the doctor to do our 20 week anatomy scan, I notice everyone is acting different and stand offish. We were told that part of our daughters arm was “missing” and I immediately dry heaved.. we were sent to a specialist confirming that our daughters right arm was short. Now, that alone is scary but the many conditions associated with it.. are terrifying.. GOOGLE IS NOT YOUR FRIEND! So every week thereafter we had ultrasounds monitoring it, I refused amniotesis testing and just lived each day at a time. At 39 weeks and 2 weeks of early and later active labor, our daughter, Evelyn Faye, was born via csection and just perfect! She had her arm difference (two little fingers on the end) but every thing else was just great! They still don’t know why this happened and are calling it a random occurrence. We couldn’t ask for a better baby. Doing great milestone wise, sleeps all night, giggles and smiles all day. She’s perfection!

I’m hoping to there are other limb different Moms out there that I can share our daily life and findings with. ❤️
