Snooping law should we have it in the US?
Saudi Arabia now has a law that prohibits spouses from “Snooping” through their partners phone/computer.
This law is punishable by up to 500,000 riyals (roughly $133,000 USD) or a year in jail.
“The provision, part of a new anti-cybercrime law which came into force last week, is meant to “protect morals of individuals and society and protect privacy,” the ministry said.
The move comes amid a “steady increase in cybercrimes such as blackmail, embezzlement and defamation,” the statement said.”- Times Of Israel 🇮🇱
Should the US pass a law like this? Would this be similar to the crime of mail theft or mail tampering? (Both of which are punishable in the US)
