Do you drink while TTC?

I was trying to stay away from alcohol when we started TTC.  But now I kinda think I will stop when it happens. Not like I go 10 shots a night or till I black out, but I let myself to have a glass or 2 of wine till I see the positive on my test

My OB/GYN even told me I can have a glass here and there during pregnancy. She just told me not to drink in public because people would judge me. I never did. The night before I found out I was pregnant with my first I had last glass of wine and (since I’m being honest) a cigarette.

You’re fine. With my first I drove myself insane with OPK testing, BBT monitoring, and trying to make myself this perfect healthy vessel for a baby. The month I got fed up and just said “F it” and had fun was the month I got pregnant and my baby boy was born perfectly healthy despite those few cocktails 😉

When we started I didn’t drink at all, but after many months it’s just became something that added additional stress. Now I just live life and am waiting patiently. This month though for some reason alcohol has not sounded appealing... I also feel hung over even though I haven’t been drinking. Af is due tomorrow so we will see.

The first month of TTC i was so nervous about this. Me and the SO decided its best to live our lives. We like to have a drink when we go out to eat (which is often) and occaisionally have a few beers or shots at home. The way we drink, its not going to harm anything if i am pregnant and dont know it yet. I believe in drink til its pink!

This is my first cycle but my SO and I are doing the 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off thing. I can have a few drinks from cycle day 1 up until ovulation and then I’ll abstain during my TWW until if/when I get my AF. 
I don’t think there is anything wrong with having a drink every now and then while preggers, but the first trimester is such a fragile time that I wouldn’t feel comfortable.

I've totally had the same question!! the answer I've received is that it's okay to have a glass or two of wine a night while ttc but if you go a few months ttc with no luck, then ditch the wine because alcohol can effect fertility
