Hungry After Gym

I workout at the gym for 2 hours twice a week and usually burn around 300 calories per visit (or at least try to), but every time I get home, I'm STARVING! I try to keep my mind off of feeling hungry by drinking water and if I absolutely have to eat, I eat some beef jerky and Peanut Butter and Cheese snack crackers. Why am I always starving after gym time? I normally go at night, but I can't be burning THAT many calories to make myself hungry...
