Please please please someone help me. I have an 8 year old cat and one year old cat. For about 6 months now, the older cat, Rascal has been peeing outside of his litter box. Like literally he’ll pee right in front of the litter box. I make sure the boxes are cleaned every couple days. My entire apartment smells like cat pee no matter what I try. I can’t get the smell out or get him to stop. I can’t take it anymore. My fiancé and I are in the process of buying a house and we’ll be moving next month. I will not take this cat to the new house with brand new carpet so he can pee all over that too. I’m so beyond frustrated. I’ve taken him to the vet in the past for spotting small amounts of blood in his urine and they say there’s nothing they can do. They tell me to buy prescription food that I can’t afford. I don’t know what to do. He’s my baby and I can’t give him away. I’m just at a total loss.
