Does anyone experience reoccurring dreams?

Question

Just curious to know if I'm the only one but I could go months or years from when I had a certain dream and then all of a sudden one night I'll have the EXACT same dream I had once before. They reoccur exactly how I dreamt them the first time. Kinda freaks me out this happens just was curious to know if anyone had the same?

It’s happened to me once or twice,( when i was a kid)usually it’s the same storyline but the dream isn’t exactly the same. I’d come back from my neighbours house and then i’d hear this song come on and it meant that the kidnapper was coming, he had a stereo playing it outside his car like and ice cream truck. And for some reason I would never make it inside in time. Sometimes it was cause i had to go back and get something sometimes the door was locked.  I did realize that I dreamed of that when my mom would play a “relaxing” cd for my brother in the next room. If it didn’t play I didn’t have the dream. So weird but once i realized it i hid the cd.

I used to have dreams where, if something went wrong, the entire scene would restart itself.

I've had dreams of similar things before such as natural disasters and tornadoes or big scary bridges lol. But not the same exact dream over and over again.

Does anyone experience reoccurring dreams?
