Gallbladder removal surgery while pregnant?

I have been having pretty severe pressure and pain in my upper abdomen for the past couple of months. I’ve called and spoken to the nurses at my ob’s office several times, each time they have waved it off as indigestion or normal pregnancy pain. I ended up being admitted into the hospital yesterday due to the pain being so intense. They did an ultrasound and found out that it is indeed my gallbladder and that I have gallstones. I’m being referred to a surgeon who is supposed to go over my options. I know for now that I will need to follow a strict diet to prevent any future attacks but are there any ladies who have had to undergo this procedure while pregnant? I’m currently 22 weeks.
