Why did you get a c-section?

what was the healing process like? did you have to get 1 every pregnancy?  open topic for the ladies!

I was induced at exactly 37 weeks because I wasn’t able to take my blood sugar because of health insurance issues, I am diabetic and I also had preeclampsia, I also wasn’t going past 6 centimeters for 4 to 5 hours and I kept asking for a c-section as I hate pain finally the next night at 11:16pm I gave birth to my baby girl through c-section she was 8lbs 9oz and so cute I love her so much the recovery can be a little hard but it’s worth it and I had wonderful nurses and doctors

I was having twins. I had preeclampsia, Baby A (first to come  out)was breech and my body just wasn't progressing. We did a c section 1 week before I was schedule to be induce. The only reason healing was as bad is because I stayed a head on my meds. I couldn't stand up straight for what felt like a few weeks. I couldn't even change a diaper. I was always out of it from the meds and don't really recall much about my first day and night in the hospital. I wasn't able to change a diaper and for some reason it really bugged me. C-section should be available only to those that absolutely need it. If you have to get one I'm not trying to scare you off but just know it's not an easy way out.

I was induced at 41w for high bp, they used cervadil, which didn't do anything so they started pitocin and broke my water. I got an epidural after trying to go natural. (DH passed out watching me get epidural lol) I immediately went into a deep sleep from the relief, when I woke up I could still feel the contractions but bearable my bp plummeted as well as babys so they bumrushed my bed, I was out of it so I don't really remember, so they stopped pitocin. after a few hours I had dialeted all but 1/2 centimeter on one edge, so Dr said do the pitocin again, and sure enough it happened again so they took me for emergency C-section. DH apparently wasn't good around me in pain k don't think he could handle being in the OR,  so I my 
mom Came with me. Delivered healthy baby boy 41+2. Recovery was hard, but a lot faster than I expected. when my bladder was full I literally couldnt stand straight and had to hold myself alongside n a wall to get to the bathroom. I didn't think I was going to be normal for a long time. I'm still sore and sensitive in the incision area 9weeks pp but I'm doing alright. was dtd 2 weeks pp so I guess that says how I was feeling lol

My baby was in a breach position so my OB recommended it since it’s a very hard vaginal delivery with a breach baby. Recovery wasn’t too bad, I had some pain at the incision for a few days and then just uncomfortable around that area for maybe a week more. I wasn’t able to lift anything heavier than my baby for awhile and getting in and out of beds/chairs/etc sucked for a few days. With my second I was able to have a vbac and if we have a third I’d like to try for another vaginal birth because the recovery was so much easier than the c-section.

I got it because he was in distress and my blood pressure was kinda high. Recovery was great for me. And I will do c sections again. I do not want to even try vaginal birth... (vbac)

ive had 2 the first time it was because he was breech and the 2nd time I went for vbac but failed and ended in csection because i didnt dilate and they didnt wanna go past 24 hours since my water broke on its own.

I’ve had 2 c-sect I wanted to have it with my first daughter only being 17 and scared and the second time baby was in distress and my heart rate was super high! We are currently trying for baby number 3 and I’m wanting another c-sect! Recovery was great both times was out of hospital the next day after giving birth 😁

First C-section was an emergency due to the baby bring in distress. After 15 hours of labor, Everytime I'd push his heartrate would drop. 
Second was my choice. My doctor was fine with me having a v-bac but I chose a scheduled C-section. One because it was easier to know when she would be coming out as to find someone to watch my son but also because I was too afraid of going through labor only to end up having a C-section all over again. 
and currently pregnant with baby #3, I have a scheduled C-section on April 30th. Though my doctor said that if my water was to break or I went into labor before then I could opt to try having a vaginal birth or go through with my already scheduled C-section which I'm more leaning towards seeing as I'm getting my tubes tied.

First one was due to a breech baby (butt down) so it was scheduled at 39 weeks. He ended up being huge at 9lbs 4 oz. my second pregnancy was twins and I ended up with a second c section for the same reason. Turns out my daughters cord was super short, so we would have had problems anyway.

Also healing was uncomfortable for the first week. By the end of the second I was almost back to normal. The trick is to not baby the wound by laying around. Get up and walk as much as you comfortably can. It helps tremendously.
