IUD?????

So I asked my doctor about getting an IUD put in. The mirena ( forgive me if I spelt it wrong) does anyone have it? Can you tell

Em your experience and wether you recommend it or not and why? I’m 19 and getting married at the end of this year and my fiancé and I have decided we don’t want kids for at least 5 years. He’s iffy about the IUD tho. My doctor called and said the gyno already has an appointment. I was not prepared! My doctor didn’t really say much about the IUD except that it’s one of the best birth controls. He seemed to be in a hurry so didn’t say anything about the side affects. Please help.
