One of my newer friendships, lets call her emma, is kind of in a tough spot and i feel awful for her.

Ive known her for about 6 months now( we worked to gether for the last 18, but just "hi in the hallway" kind of thing).

She recently has told me that she is just barely scraping by financially and they will have 6$ after rent is paid. And she might have to get a better job to make more and pay her bills. Thatd make me sad to lose my friend as a coworker

Im a little perturbed by her husband though, i dont know him well but he kind of seems like dead weight. He didnt have a job for the first year i knew her, he couldnt " find" work. And he was lazy around her house. He got a job recently, and is bringing less than she does

Am i wrong to feel bad for her for having to stress about money, even though im sure the husband isnt the one bringing enough to the table? And why does SHE feel obligated to look for "Better" work??
