Is it my implant?

So I got the implant in December, but I’ve been on my period/spotting constantly for 13 weeks and haven’t had a normal period? Is this because of the implant and if so what should I do? Is this normal?

Answer

It happens more often than you think. One of the main symptoms of the implanon is irregular periods. When I got my first I remember my doctor saying it could go either way 🤷🏽‍♀️ you may have no periods, regular periods, or bleed for a long time! A friend of mine who got hers the same time as me bled for two months straight and was out on the pill to help with the bleeding. I’d say if it gets too much go see your doctor x x good luck!
