Should I be worried?!! (Warning: gross picture)

I’m 5 weeks pp and have been bleeding like crazy. It slowed down about 2 weeks ago then came back with bright red bleeding.. my OB says that it’s my period but I don’t think it should be lasting 15 days and still be bright red. Now I’m passing large clots. So my question is: should I be worried about the size of this clot and the length of my first “period”?

It’s normal. I bled for like an entire month after my baby girl. Had lots of large clots. As long as you aren’t soaking through a bad within an hour and you aren’t having fever and bad cramps you should be ok

my first period pp lasted almost 2 months and then a week break just to come right back. I didnt have clots like that after my LO but I did before I got pregnant

Seems like everyone’s midwife is different. Mine would say this is not normal. I was clotting like this and she did a quick in office ultrasound to check for retained placenta. Then at my 6 wk pp i told her I’m still bleeding off and on and I’m supposed to call her in a week if it’s not better.

I’ll be the odd one out. My bleeding all but stopped then came back bright red and heavy with clots but no massive ones like they say to watch for. It wasn’t my period I had an infection and I needed antibiotics and stuff. Please if you do think its odd bring it back up and ask about getting it checked.

No that’s normal, you can still be bleeding that fart out from having a baby, clots are gonna happen but they should never big.

That happened with me after my so . My dr said it was normal even though I was in some of the worst pain of my life

As long as the clots are not the size of a golf ball. At least that's what I was told
