How did a 3-some turn out in a monogamous long term relationship turn out?

My husband and I have been together 7 years and are each other's firsts. We've always dismissed the idea of a 3some. But now we think we might want to. Please tell me your experiences.

I have been with my partner over 4 years and we love each other more than anything in the world. This is something we keep completely private yet we have so much fun in doing! We have rules and boundaries and that’s a must to make sure everyone is comfortable! We have so far had a threesome and fun with another couple. I wasn’t so sure at first I thought it would wreck my relationship but actually it’s put that little extra bit of fun into our lives! (Not that we needed it) you only live once as my partner says at least when your 80years old you can look back on the outrageous things you have done and have a giggle than sit there wishing you had done what you diddent do! I’d say go for it! But talk first I mean a good few serious talks and set rules/boundaries.
